Jessie's 17 Birthday!!

We took Jessie out to dinner for her birthday to leatherby's. Jacob was insisting we take her birthday presents with us, but her birthday wasn't for another day....... so I let him pick which package we would give her. I don't think she even noticed the toms, the silver toms!! We had a great night as a family!! Hope she likes the gifts:) I know I do!!
Jessie opening her birthday present....... were hoping she will like it!!
Jessie with her birthday present, I think she likes it!!
Jessie and I were screaming in Leatherby's, We are so excited to go see taylor Swift!! And we have amazing seats!!
This morning was the "Donut Dash" and also Jessie's 17 Birthday!! But she got out of bed early to run with me, although I walked and she ran!! Jacob came with us but he was on a scooter, I wasn't sure if he would make the 4 miles. The weather was good for the dash. It rained before and after, but was dry while we ran/walked. We were prepared to be rained on, but I'm gald it didn't rain on us:)

Jr prom 2011

Jessie went to Jr. prom with Tanner Gilbert. They have been friends for along time. He was so sweet and sent her roses to school asking her to go to prom with him, and Jessie baked him brownies to say yes. Jessie looked amazing!! And Tanner wasn't to shabby either. They had a great evening with friends, having lots of fun!!

Jackson.....my buddy

This is Jackson my nephew, and I love this kid!! He always gives me a hug when I see him, and he wants to tell me things and show me what he's packed in his back pack, and he wanted to sit on my lap and chat it up with me, instead of sitting on his moms lap!! He keeps me very entertained!! And he did not want me to take his picture, but after I took the first one, he started posing for me and wanted his picture taken!! He also loves to feed the ducks with me when he comes over to our house :)
Jackson saying cheese!!
Jackson didn't want me to take his picture at first, but than he started posing for me while I took his picture:)
Ok, so I loaded all the pictures backwards, one of these times I'll have it figured out. But for now here are a few more pictures of opening day!! Oh and Jacob doesn't have his hat because, he wore it to school and left it in his desk. Mental note to self.... get a back up yankee hat or it's going to be a long session of sometimes no hat!!

Jeremy and his friend Mike and Aaron went and got hair cutes. They look so nice.....This is after they stayed up all night, and than went and donated blood...... Oh to be young again....Jacob could not stay out of the picture, He thinks these guys are HIS best friends....and they are so nice and kind to Jacob. They always let him tag alone with them....most of the time:)
One of the fun things we have been doing is roller skating!!! We went during Thanksgiving break with the cousins and it was so much fun, that we have been back a few times.... This time Jacob was trying really hard to win a prize. He won!! Playing the Dot Game, he was so excited!! He picked 25 tokens and won a parachute man that you throw in the air. And thanks to his cousin Chandler who went skating with us back in November, Jacob loves to skate and can do it all on his own. Besides the games, Jacob loves the fast skate. Each time we go he gets faster and faster. So much fun!!! We will definitely be doing more family skating........
Jacob has been learning about the different Continents at school, so Friday was Explorer Day. I got to be South America. A clue was read and the kids had to guess where they were? And then they got a prize. It was a very fun day.....but i didn't get any pictures of Jacob the explorer. Next time!!
Here are some of the things I've been doing this weekend, I brought the canner home from the church cannery and canned come Steel Cut Oats, Sliced Dried Potatoes, and Dried Hash Brown Potatoes. Early in the week I had gone to the cannery and canned some Hot Chocolate. Now to start thinking about what I will be canning next month........

The BYU Folk Dancers

Today I got to attend the BYU Folk Dancers Performance with the youth of our stake. They were in need of drivers and I was asked if I could help. These were the youth that I got the privilege to drive and hang out with. It was a very fun afternoon, and an amazing performance by the dancers. Thanks Alison,Jessie, Courtney, Kyler, Sophia, and Karshner for letting me hang out with you, and also take pictures to put on facebook:)
This was one of the performers, (the guy in the orange shirt). He is from spain, and not only did he play an instrument, he also sang. Everyone was very excited to see him after the show, and wanted to let him know what an amazing job he had done. So another kodak moment:)
Posing with a few of the performers after the show. I had so much fun hanging with these fun young people!!
